I have a tracker fitted to my X5 but I'm really having trouble with Direct Line, they will only cover me fully comp if I can provide the fitters name and address and a certificate. I have the activation certificate from Tracker with paid subscription why is this not enough for Direct Line?

Currently I'm paying fully comp £700+ but they won't cover theft. I hope the tracker will find my baby if some scrote should steal it.

Any advice ??

Sounds bollix to me. But, why not get Tracker to do the £80 service/battery check up thing...must be as good as a fresh install? (especially paperwork wise)

I would tell Direct Line to contact Tracker with your info for further informaion. They want your money, make them do some work for it!!!

I would shop around for a better deal. £700+ for an X5 seems pretty expensive, especially when they're requiring that a tracker is fitted and not giving theft cover without it.

I've just been quoted £610 for the M5 with Admiral, and no requirement for any tracking devices.

All I can say that Directline are a bunch of idi*ts. Was with them last year and went elsewhere, for reasons like those mentioned above.

They dont have much common sense, very wooden

That is a bit cheeky really considering Direct Line are part of RBS Insurance who also own TRACKER you would think they would be able to sort it out!!!
