530i touring

Hi guys what sort of mpg could you expect from a 530i sports touring auto its a 2003. i know its not the best time to be buying a petrol but don't think I really want a diesel.

My 2001 model with 96k on the clock does an average of 27mpg. If I feather it on a long motorway journey at 70 I can get 31mpg but it's really boring.

I bought mine two and a half years ago and it's been faultless.
