So the noise is noticeable but wouldnt stop you using/being heard on a Hands Free phone kit for example?
Well not really...you do need a good kit though. A mate had a nokia kit but he was always a bit hard to hear when in the 330 cab at motorway speeds. It may just have been the positioning of his mic though....If you felt the wind noise off a Boxster is excessie then may I suggest a convertible is not for you!
Having a bigger cabin in any 4 seater conertible (ie rear seats) the amount of room for air turbulance to swirl in the car is far greater hence more noise.
I'd go so far as to say a Boxster is one of the best for topless high speed cruising

Apologies guys, I only meant the wind noise with the roof up.
I wouldnt really have the roof down if I were out on work as I may have documents in the car that could get blown away or easily grabbed by those opportunist type thieves and that wouldnt be good for Data Protection etc.
AS stated earlier, check the leading edge rubber. Makes a huge differenceI wouldnt really have the roof down if I were out on work as I may have documents in the car that could get blown away or easily grabbed by those opportunist type thieves and that wouldnt be good for Data Protection etc.
Got to agree, with the roof up the bmw bluetooth is fine even at 100+ (on the continent, of course) with the roof down its fine to about 70 ish (anything above that and you have to start shouting a little, (tho I`ve not tried it with the wind breaker))
I seem to get more noise from the window seals groaning but once upto cruising speed they settle down OK.
