Old shape 330d split fold rear seats ?

My brother is thinking of buying one of these in the nearish future.

I was under the impression you had to spec the option £250, he reckons they come standard ?

Certainly not standard - it was an option and quite a rare one at that.

Rare option, a fair few came with the ski hatch though.

Not retrofittable either - the car with folding seats has a different chassis to the one without. Chassis is a little stiffer on the cars with fixed seats.

I should've asked this at the same time: is it the same situation on the 330Cd Coupe ?

I think more coupes will come specced with folding seats. IIRC, the ski hatch was standard on coupes rather than an option like on the saloons.

it's called "through load" and it was a cost option.

mind you quite a few 330d were highly specced, so you might find it out there.

I looked at one with every single cost-option fitted by first owner, including electric sun blinds and TV.
