Adjusting headlamps to Continental pattern?

Can anyone help me out with instructions as to switching from the UK settings to Continental LHD pattern? E46 M3 CSL in question, but I would think it pretty much the same for all E46s.

Dealer can do it but wants loads of money to do so.

Hi, remove the plastic circular lense covers on the rear of the headlight unit. (yes they do some off but are difficult and not much room)

There is a whist plastic toggle switch which you may now be able to see. This will move both ways - one way will offer resistance - the other will not. You need to move it in the direction of the resistance. The difficulty is you need to move it both ways to figure which way is which, by which time you have forgotten what the original setting was (well I did anyway!).

You can also try turning on the headlights and playing with the toggle with some marigolds on to prevent frying yourself (hopefully!)

If you can post up which way round you think yours were before you buggered with em it woudl be handy for me lol.

It is a 30 minute job as the rear covers are a PITA to get off the first time.
