E46 Tyre Pressure Sensor False Positives?

Had an e46 M3 for a only a couple of weeks and I have already had a puncture. I have changed the tyre and reset the sensor. At the weekend (a week after the puncture) the warning came on again! I pulled over and checked the tyre pressures and all was fine. Set off again and slowly got to my destination and rechecked the tyres (again all OK). So I reset the sensor and since then it has stayed off and the pressures are still all OK.

Can someone let me know how sensitive the sensors are (I know they work through the ABS and are not true pressure sensors) or if false positives are a known issue I may have to live with occaisonally?

If it works from wheel speed like my E61 does then you can expect a few false alarms based on my experience. I have had a number of false alarms so I now carry a tyre pressure gauge in the car because the system doesn't tell you which tyre may have a puncture.

Not had any false alarms on either the e87 or the e90 just one very real puncture. I too carry a pressure gauge to identify the culprit.
