Just had my 535d treated with the DMS curves at Lisburn car care centre and I am totally blown away.
Did much research into this as after spending so much money on the car i didnt want some clampit patching my ECU without thought like a glorified bleed valve. A lot of people complain about the price, but these guys do it right and if you have the money to buy a 535d then dont complain about getting it tuned to perfection by the professionals.
I had a couple of strange issues with mine prior to tuning like occasionally I would get an overboost and sometimes on idle I would notice minor twiches in the rpm clock, but now its all sorted.
DMS claim better economy, but I think I needed to see it to believe it. Normally I can get 38mpg on a motorway and only around 18mpg around the town. SInce its new and I cant stop booting it, I am not sure, but what I do know is there are two distictive issues. 1.) We all know when looking at the mpg gauge on the dash how sensitive it is to being pushed down to 16mpg, but now when driving easy I can float it at the 40 mark much easier and even in all my booting I am getting 22mpg!!!! That is a massive difference.
My first shot of real speed was entering the slip and I can tell you now I shot from 60-140mph relentlessly in no more than 8-10 secs. Even though the car didnt want too, I had to pull it there as even with the electric gate opener
its licence loosing material.
I think that if you are considering it, then you are mad... Just go and get it done!!!! Also if you read other posts they stand by the mod with their life, free re-writes for 3yrs if BMW over right and insure your car for any damage caused as a result.
I think its gonna take a Ferrari to give me trouble and I cant wait to get a run up the road with a friend who has a Bentley Continental...

Assuming a 0-60 of (being generous) 5 seconds are you seriously claiming that it'll do 0-140 in 13-15 seconds? Dream world.
For reference the Carrera GT takes 17.3 seconds 0-150 and the 997 Turbo takes 21.2 0-150....
It'd be possible to do it in that sort of time, assuming a broken stopwatch .... lol.

I really doubt they will let you "Upgrade" it also if your insurance is paid for by your company car ins how do you explain to them the Upgrade?? It might be very risky.In addition a diesel needs a good 40-50k to loosen up properly so your not getting the full power until then why not wait 2-3 years then DMS it?

BTW very nice motor - I'd need a few steps up the ladder to get a £1500pcm car allowence.

Be good to organise a race in the 'real world'! All these quoted figures are often bo!!ocks anyway. I've driven a DMS 535d and they are quite rapid.
Besides I'm sure the quote was slightly tongue in cheek! That said, certainly keep up with 328's, 355's TR's etc etc. Last time I looked they were Ferrari's!! On normal roads probably give a 360 a fright..and carries five with luggage!
On the leasing/contract hire front, have a look at Mercedes..offering some quite staggering deals at the moment, £56K car (well Ok big 4x4) on a 3+23 with nav etc etc for £450 a month. Quite fancy a DMS ML420 CDI 370bhp 0-60 in 5.5..see off a 599 with ease......
across a lightly rutted field.

0-60 just over 5 secs, tops out at around 174mph, 500lb/ft torque.....
