Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Run Flats for 330D M Sport

Hi,

Does anyone know of a supplier with any stock of the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Run Flats (255/35/ZR18 Y90 ZP) for my 06 330D M Sport Touring Auto?

There seems to be a (inter)national shortage of these particular tyres and the only alternatives I can get are the Bridgestone 050A.

I have tried the main tyre dealers, Kwik-Fit, National, Black Circles, eTyres, Event Tyres, Hi-Q, ATS and even my local BKW dealers don't have any.

I have complained to Michelin and they said that there won't be any more until the end of November.

Anyone know any small or local dealers with some stock left?

I tried for Weeks and had to give up, all the people I tried couldn;t get the Bridgestones either so ended up sticking with non runflats

Hey.

Only the ZP (Zero Pressure) are Run Flat. I understand you can get Pilot Sport 2 in non-run flat and extra load.

Bit of a leftfield suggestion - try Costco. I understand that they have tyre centres which only have Michelins. Worth a call maybe?

When I was at Costco I did ask if they had stock and they said they didn't keep them and would have to order in especially.

Use it now as an excuse to get rid of them, the difference is staggering, so much more grip, no twitchy back end and the comfort is just on another level.

The whole point of a run flat is to get you to a garage and get you back on the road without using gunk or having to change the wheel on teh side of the road, however, when you get to the garage the chance of them havingv the tyre with you within a few days, let alone hours, is remote to none!!

They are BMWs biggest feck up in years, the amount of people who come in my shop and say 'I tried a new 3 series (or 5series, 7 series) and the suspension was just too hard so I bought the Merc' is unreal, I must get it once a week.

A set of 18" Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetricals and the BMW mobility kit will cost around £500. Do it NOW!!

Success at last.

It was suggested to me to try Elite in Rainham. They restocked yesterday, shame I have to travel 100 miles to get them but that's how desperate I am now. £10 down and getting them fitted tomorrow!

Thanks to all your suggestions, I am very happy with the run flats and considering my motor has M Sport suspension I am pleased (a surprised on the original test drive) with the ride.

I replaced the two fronts recently with PS2's and wanted to be consistent, I may be considering a change soon and didn't want to risk affecting the residuals by mixing brands (if that happens).
