I try to look after my own servicing to keep costs down... but where I rely on my car as a daily driver I don't really want to break down miles from home or rely on the AA for something I could have fixed at home.

So far I am doing the following on my car every so often:

Oil Filter/fresh oil
Air filter
Cabin filter


I have bought some coolant to flush the water system and replace the coolant.

The brake lines were checked by a garage last year and one was replaced and presumably new fluid would have been used. I fitted new discs and pads all round and they have been on about 15k.

I had a new clutch at 100k , now at 123k - should be fine for ages.

What else should I be looking at doing, and especially what should I be asking a garage to do (I can do most things around the body / engine, but I don't have ramps to work underneath etc)

Fuel Filter ?
Any other consumable that needs replacing regularly ?

All the electrics and heating work fine apart from the rev counter that tends to flick around the dial randomly - might just be a bad earth ?

Check the service schedule. I think it mentions changing all transmission fluid inc. diff for inspection 2 service.

forgot to add a 325 diff was fitted with new oil recently...
