Bluetooth compatability 525d March 2005

The list of compatable mobile phones for my dad's BMW 525d is very short. It was produced in March 2005. Does anyone know if the list is accurate. If not - what other phones are compatable?

Yes but the list looks really small..for eg my M3 03 model does not say I could use a W810i but I know I used to use that....
So I have said to my dad that surely cant be the full list as there is hardly any newer phones he can use....
