Re-setting engine management light on a MY06 Z4 Coupe

Opened the airfilter box on my Z4, closed it and now the engine management light has come on. Any now how to reset it? Or do i know to go to the BMW garage?

whatever you do dont disconnect the battery to try and rid the warning light (although this method will probably work) as I have just done and gone and lost all the time to next service data...

JUst take it to main dealers and say its' come on. They will reset free of charge. Don't tell them you opened the box!!!
