£35 RFL? I'll take two then. Well worth £18,000 to save a hundred quid a year.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people actually use something like low RFL or an insurance group or two lower to justify near 20 grand purchases.
No, they use it to justify a lesser 118 over a 120/123, not to buy a car in the first place. It never ceases to amaze me how many people actually use something like low RFL or an insurance group or two lower to justify near 20 grand purchases.

It's just one of many benefits that 118d has over the likes of an A3...It never ceases to amaze me how many people actually use something like low RFL or an insurance group or two lower to justify near 20 grand purchases.
If the OP didn't have circe £18K for a car the 118d wouldn't be on the radar.
Enjoyed the one I had start of the year, other than dreadful traction in the snow (guess its due to very little weight passed the rear axle)
Sharper drive than my current 318d.... want a 118d again! Especially now the have more bhp.
More fun than a Golf 2.0 GT Tdi 140bhp (I've run a couple), but not as well equipped (in SE Form), think My preferance would be the 118d in Sport Spec If the budget ran to it, best of both worlds!

Any experiences of one??? <flame suit is on>
we've got a 118d sport and a 120d m sport, both great cars, and super reliable, over 50k miles covered between the two of them and not a single warranty repair...tyres can be a major pain though, avoid the pirellis if you can, bridgestones way better on grip and life..
