Three Series E46 Convertable Hardtop Problem

My son has just bought a hardtop for his three series convertable, he is having trouble getting the drivers side rear catch to hold down the top the same as the passenger side, are there any adjustments for these catches either on the hardtop or the car?

It sometimes misalignes (pins jam in the holes) and does then not fully go all the way down. Lower it evenly on both sides - it should positively come down on the seals. Also make sure that the red handles are pushed all the way in (they'll go quite hard at the end), as they will nail the roof right down onto the seals. Not sure, but hoping this helps.
