Auxillary music quality

I am geting a new car with the Logic 7 equivelant next week. Does anyone know what the quality of the auxillary input (iPod) as compared to using USB sticks with MP3's?

The same! An i-pod is a memory stick anyway.

MP3 code has approximately 10dB less dynamic range than a CD due to the compression. You have to ask yourself if it's worth spending the extra on the sound system if that's the source you will be using all the time? However if your listening to CDs or DAB, a different game.

Not being deliberately provocative here, but can you really appreciate the difference in a moving car with all the associated noise etc?

(Assuming your hearing can really tell the difference anyway, which mine can't, so I may well be missing something here, but there's only a certain degree of finesse required for Iron Maiden )

How easy is to retro=fit the multichanger. In the accessories brochure it is priced at £295 but states additional items may be required. Is this not just a simple plug and play option or does it need to be wired into the head unit. Anyone any experience of this?
