They just dont understand do they ? I got earache for winding the window down to listen to a TVR the other day. Apparently it was cold !! Good spot though and surprisingly not all that ugly either.(BTW - sorry way off topic - but 1. How do you find the MPG on your ST (in town v out of town) and 2. what's all this kirby fake business ?)

1. I average about 25-26mpg at the moment on what I would call a "combined" cycle. I used to do the same commute in my old car and got book figure of 31mpg. Ford says 30.4mpg for the ST but that aint gonna happen.2. what's all this kirby fake business ?)
Driving to Cardiff and back over the holidays at a steady 70mph returned 34mpg which isn't too bad. 80-90mph is more like 28-30mpg.
In town it's terrible dropping to low 20's. Heavy car, old thirsty engine with a turbo which kicks in at 1,600rpm is never going to be great.
Range is an issue too. I fill up every 250 miles which is a pain in the preverbial when you do 20k/yr. I worked out the other day that I see my petrol attendant more often than I see my parents...
Good car though, otherwise.

What always surprises me is that a lot of BMW staff cars (mine included) have Yorkshire registrations?

All BMW owned cars are registered at Thorne hence the Y# reg, used to done direct at Bracknell until about 3 years ago when Reading couldnt cope anymore!!What always surprises me is that a lot of BMW staff cars (mine included) have Yorkshire registrations?

Good spot 
Hood looks awful though.. Like its made from.. from.. well, I don't know.. Something really quite cheap and nasty, like painted cling film perhaps. Not good as its likely to cost a considerable wedge. Maybe its just the pict though, and the fact that rag tops never really jammed my donut anyway.

It may well be a pre-production car here for evaluation as the rear window doesn't look big enough. Hood looks awful though.. Like its made from.. from.. well, I don't know.. All relative though, really.Come trade in time I expect it'll be worth around £5k more than a 2nd hand boy racer Focus.
