Having been lucky enough to have owned a fair few decent cars, and the 535d is up there with all of them. I moved from a 4.8iS X5 to this and haven't missed the beast at all. I've had the car re-mapped and it flies in all gears, although can tend to be a bit slow when the weather is sh!te because the rear simply can't grip the road!

Never going to be a 911 drive, but it's fun enough to not get bored.

No major problems in 6 months and 16,000 miles and currently I'll be happy to order another when this one is a couple of years old.

535d=superb car. My M Sport was brilliant.

Lovely car mate, in the perfect colour too. I was looking at these but thought it might be a bit big for my needs. I opted for a 325ci, but will look again a the 535d when I get bored....in about a month!

What average MPG do you get?

Over 16000 miles I've averaged just over 30mpg. I drive frequently in London so I'm happy with that figure.

On a long run, it'll go into mid 40's without a problem as long as you're not silly!

Doesn't feel like a big car - go-on go-on go-on, you know it makes sense
