E34 rear bumper brackets?

Was reversing out of a public car park today and went a bit further back than I should and bumped my rear bumper on a lampost. Not doing more than 1/2mph but enough to push my bumper back about 1cm or so on the off-side. (looking at the rear wheelarch). Feel a right plonker.

Thankfully, no broken paint or panels (lost the tow hook cover, mind) but I suspect I've squashed a bumper bracket a touch. Are these easily DIYably replaced or best left to someone who knows what they're doing?? Have read that the bumper is only held on with 4 x 17mm bolts so that doesn't phase me.

Bad luck chap. The stopper must be jammed with gunk as they're supposed to push out again at speeds less than 5mph iirc. It might be a simple case of taking off the bumper cleaning it, bit of grease. Otherwise a visit to the scrappy or BMW franchised parts dept for a spare.
