Just got a new set of 6 brake hoses for my E36 coupe - now, I can work out where 4 of them go (to the calipers) but the other two...?
ETA - just been and had a look. At all the rust. Looks like a bit more to replace than I first thought...

What age is your E36 - if it's one of the last it might have 4 hoses at the rear like on the early E46 models.ETA - just been and had a look. At all the rust. Looks like a bit more to replace than I first thought...

Earlier E36s just had 4 flexi hoses
It's a '97 - braved the elements last night to have anoter look, and there are 2 flexi hoses per side at the rear, so that answers that one. What I hadn't accounted for is the amount of rust on ALL the connections, and the state of the small solid pipes that sit in between the flexi hoses. Off to BMW this morning to get the parts to renew everything from the main brake pipes to the callipers - hopefully shouldn't cost the earth.
