Trade-in value 728 (01)

Just a quick question to any kind souls who may be in the trade ... sort of like Mustard 
We are looking at trading in the mother-in-law's 728 and wondered what sort of price range we are looking at.
It is a 2001 (x) 728 with the Motorsport kit which appears to consist of nice wheels, steering wheel and slightly different front and rear spoiler.
Pale silver - BMW history until about three years ago then specialist - 85k miles - 2 or 3 owners - good clean condition.
Not looking for any rose tinted spec prices, just a true indication.

Cheers Carlos. Not my car, but I have the option to swap my daily hack 525TDS Tourer for it ... but then I also have the slightly special 850 in the wings and I can't have both.
To be honest, both myself and Talkwrench had a guess that the trade-in value would be nearer £3-3.5k!

Vicki's parents have had it for about 5 years now. Talkwrench has worked on the car and also agrees that it is lovely to drive and should give lots of pleasure for many many more miles yet.
Trouble is, I have a real head v heart decision to make. It is a no-brainer for me to have it as a daily driver ... but I cannot have the 7 as well as the 8!

Just start the man maths - when it comes to cars you can make any decision seem rational !
If you decide against it, I am increasingly missing driving a BMW (and a lot of the ones I have looked at are not quite 'right') so if it's not too cheeky to ask, could you pm me ?!

Trade in value will be pretty varible (an invaribly low), but ought to be worth upwards of the figure your suggesting IMHO
Worth a punt on ebay if you ask me, as a low owner, fully historied lowish mileage 7 ought to attract interest if it 'looks the part' and a dealer would want a fair stretch across it, so it will look an attractive propasition to your private Billy.
Anyway... just how many miles has that 525tds done, is it still in fine fettle, and just how cheap is it? ......(may having to find my own daily transport )

)I'll be advertising it for £1250 ... MOT until November 08 (all it needed for the last MOT was one small exhaust bracket and a new set of handbrake shoes).
Full BMW history until the last one when I used Talkwrench, as I am no longer near a BMW service facility.
It has just dropped to one green light and the next service is an oil inspection which will probably get done before I sell it
Engine's nice and clean too!
