118d M Sport, Tyre wear rate?

My wifes 118d M Sport is nearly at 14,000 miles and the tyres nearly need changing!

Without going outside to look at the exact size they are the standard 17" M Sport wheels with runflats.

I checked the pressures a few months ago, and they seem to be wearing evenly, just very fast. The fronts are nearly on the wear indicators (1.6mm) and the rears are around 2-2.5mm.

This seems very fast to me.
Is this fairly normal?
Has anyone else had similar experience?
Could this be an issue that BMW might look at under warranty?

What make of tyres are you using, Pirellis? I'm pretty sure BMW would say that wear rate is acceptable. My 120d has just about killed its 16" Bridgestone tyres at 22K miles.

I had one, a 118d. Went through 3 sets of fronts and 3 sets of rears, in 50K.

Which is why it's turned into a Mazda 6.

Yes, they are Pirelli's. It seems like they do have a high wear rate.
I might change them to non runflats and buy can of tyre foam. But then I wonder is this wise for the Mrs? She does have breakdown cover as well I guess.

I have a 120d M Sport and had to change all my tyres at around 17k (pirelli runflats)... I swapped to the Bridgestone runflats which have now done around 12 k and are seeming to wear much better, fronts still look to have loads of life left.

My better half has a 118d sport and her car came new with bridgestones, rears lasted 23k, fronts are still the originals (34k now on the car!)..

The bridgestones are slightly more expensive but drive better and last longer IMO
