E46 seats

Quick one - does anyone know if E46 front seats are interchangeable?

I get the impression saloon/touring seats are different to cab/coupé seats, but could i fit coupé seats in my touring?

I have an SE and love the 17's and soft suspension but i'd like the sports seats in grey leather to match my interior you see - the standard seats don't adjust enough for me to get really comfortable.

cab seats are different to coupes as cab has seat belts built in.

So could i fit coupe seats in a saloon/touring? Or are the mounting points different?

Realoem.com reveals that the seat rails use different part numbers between the Coupe and Touring - although this might just be down to the fact the Coupe seats have the lift mechanism to allow access to the back seats.

Erm, probably not, in my opinion


ETA: Although having said that, the front carpet is the same for all models, which means the front pick-up for the seats will be in the same place.
