BMW AUC Warranty

The g/f bought a used Z4 back in the summer from BMW Oxford, and so the car has 12 months AUC warranty.

It's just been into Hexagon of Highgate for an oil service, and on top they have replaced a piece of interior trim (£53), replaced a window guide rail (£62), replaced osf jacking block (£17) - all fine.

However, on the bill is a line that says:

"Excess element of insurance policy to be paid by the insured party - £100".

She's given me the bill and asked me to query it with them.

I was under the impression that the AUC warranty is effectively the same as the original manufacturers warranty, and so no excess to pay? I don't have any of her paperwork to hand and she's buggered off skiing!

My warranty's just expired. I had a couple of things done and didn't have to pay excess. When they offered a renewal of the warranty, there was an excess charge to be paid on any work. I wonder if they're getting mixed up? From my experience you shouldn't have to pay anything.

When was the car first registered ?

First registered in '04 (not sure of exact date)

I understood that there is a £100 excess on extended warranties but that shouldn't apply to the AUC warranty in the first 12 months.

Just spoke to them, £100 being refunded.
