Guys is there a known windscreen wiper problem on 5 series of the 1999 vintage.

Twice now, months apart the wipers on our car have packed up on the motrway in the rain! Oddly the same stretch of motorway 150 miles from where we live.

Anyone got any clues before we let the auto electricians loose on it

It could be anything, motor, switch etc but the most common fault is the relay/relays [depending on type] at fault, they are located in the E-Box left side under the bonnet.

Thanks - I swaped the relays last time it happened - looks like a bit of a diagnostic job
