E34 525i Sport interior

Does anyone know what interior these cars should have. I'm very tempted by one at the moment but it has a cloth interior.

I don't mind cloth interior but was wondering whether all Sports came with leather?

There were plenty with cloth, but it must have the sports seats.

Thanks, can you tell if these ones are sports seats? The side bolsters look quite big to be comfort seats.

The lower bolsters look a bit wide & flat compared to my M5 seats, but maybe the sport ones are different yet again.

They're definitely not Sport seats - and that fabric is the standard fabric, not the type used on Sports.

Just had a quick look on the Pheads classifieds - there are a couple of apparently genuine E34 525i Sports with the standard (non-sport) seats in, though leather covered. Curiouser and curiouser.

It does make you think that, if a full sport interior in leather is worth a few hundred quid, the originals will have been sold and replaced with cheap cloth items.

It would annoy me if I was after a minter but I just see it as a haggling point now.

the seat in the pic is standard, the sports seats have deeper bolsters and an adjustable/extendable front section (under the knee area) the large majority are leather although some are cloth which is a different material to the standard seats (thinner fabric and not a velour finish) and are very prone to wear.

The headrests are a different shape to standard seats to, being squarer and sitting within the seat back when at their lowest setting.

I've had a bit of correspondence with him and it's fair to say that he has high expectations for his sale price.

Think i'm best waiting for a nice car with history than taking a punt on an unknown quantity.

I don't know how much he's expecting, but when I was looking for my M5 I was offered a 535i Sport with full leather and a few more miles for £800, so he can't be wanting more than that.

The 'private' plate might be 'valued' at £400, but you can buy a private plate for less than £100 on ebay.

The wheels are from an 8-series and whilst quite nice wheels, they are also very heavy and detract from the performance of the car, and possibly make the ride more harsh due to the lower sidewall profile (less give than standard) - plus they are not the exact offset that is needed for an e34 (not far out, but they are different - soemthing like et10 instead of et20 front, and et18 instead of et22 rear).
