E36 325i manifold on 328i

Heard this is the way to go to improve breathing on the 328i, is this correct? Have an old 325i coupe and want to upgrade to a 328i

Correct. But I believe it needs a new throttle body to go with it. And for maximum effect, a custom remap also. Good for 220-230 horses. Someone sells a conversion kit to do this. I cant remember who/where though, sorry. But im sure someone here will chime in

Alpina527 over on bmwowner.com (was e36coupe.com) sells a kit.

It's not as simple as bolting the M50 manifold on, as it isn't a straight fit, so I'd suggest getting one from the guy above as he modifies them to be a perfect fit.

You should also upgrade to a BBTB at the same time, as they're designed to work together.

Before doing any of this though, think about what you want from the car - it will improve the breathing at the top end, but at the sacrifice of low down torque. Great for track days, not great around town etc.
