Adding speed cameras to sat nav

Is there a simple way to add speed camera locations to the BMW professional sat nav system? (It is a 2007 car if that is relevant)

I'm not very computer literate so the simpler the better would be best!

Simple answer is NO! It can be done, you need to create a new DVD with the camera POI (locations) copied onto the mapping software. However unless you know a little about pc's and moving files etc it is nay impossible.

However if you have a son / daughter / grandson / grandaughter / friend / local IT guy who knows something about IT here is a useful link.

Not sure that it is legal and I am taking no responsibility for the outcome.

Grandson is only six months old so I guess I'll wait for a while and get another sticky foot to move the road angel across from the other car.

That would be the simplest solution. The Road Angel is also updated monthly and to keep the BMW system current you would need to update the DVD too.

But it's not illegal to add in favourite locations is it? And I think it is not too difficult to show any location as being any particular sort of place. If there happened to be a Scamera at these places, well.....

belleair302 is correct not easy if you can't use a computer well, is your nav HIGH, PRO or business? you may be able to pick one up form fleBay.

There is a application called (don't laugh) pimp-my-nav and it will do every thing you want, its point and click, if you can set a video recorder then you can do this. (http://pimp-my-nav.com/)

DSM2, yes and no, its illegal to make and use a copyrighted DVD, however if you have an OEM disc, you can make a copy and mod it as long as you only use one disc at a time, when you buy the OEM disc you buy the license to use 1 copy of that disc at any one time, so make the modded disc and bung the OEM in the folder with the other bits and pieces from the car (service book etc).

I have a disc with them. How hard will it be for me to do you a copy? i am not very computer literate either.

Easy peasy mate, get hold of this (its free) ( http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download ) install and then to make an image "create image from disc" to write an image select "write image file to disc".

I have the Camera locations on my 2008-1 disc ( downloaded from utorrent), To be honest you can only choose ONE POI and choosing the camera locations in the area your in gives a range of 150 Miles (shows them in the 150 radius from where you are at the time).
But it just shows where the camera vans MIGHT be or HAVE been, so no use really, go with the Road Angel 2 or such like; and get "Up to Date" info on where they are.
