General DMS offerings

I bought my GTi-6 eighteen months ago after having company cars. The idea was to keep it until I had settled into my new job and then replace it in a couple of months.

I need to replace it with a manual diesel with a budget of around £15K (£18K max but the lower the better). The only choice appears to be BMW for goog diesels.

My choices are 330d sport touring (203bhp version), 320d sport touring (150bhp version), 120d m sport (163 bhp) and 120d m sport (177 bhp version). I will of course let DMS breath on it.

I want it to be faster than my Pug but have decent economy.

Does anyone know what they can do for each choice above (I have found some info on other threads but not all four options)?

What effect on mpg do DMS conversions have?

Do they smoke like old superchips conversions?

A standard 330D 204bhp would wave bye bye to your GTI-6 in the real world i would say, as for a remap then DMS are very good at what they do but also very expensive, you can get the same awesome results from such as 'emaps or 'chipped uk for much less money. My previous car was a mapped 330d sport they are truely awesome performers and will return near 30 mpg even when running around panning it, when i went to Le Mans with it the real mpg measured brim to brim was 41 mpg and that was a very spirited drive there and back...

Thanks for that. 41mpg seems pretty good. Le mans is a fairly good (although longer) representation of the type of journey that i tend to do.

Can a e46 320d be mapped to match a standard 330d?

Peak figures should get close but it won't be as quick.

the 330d is an awesome motor but it was the most unreliable car i ever owned, think i had a rouge....

The later models may/will have a DPF which will stop the awful smoke!

I have not noticed a drop in consumption since i DMS'd my 335d. Great company by the way, i highly reccomend them!
