Cross spoke Composite (Styl 5)

As split rims are they expensive to refurb and where is the best place in Essex, Suffolk or Herts area to get them done.

Just about to buy a set of 16" Cross spoke Styling (non-composites) for my e39 to use while the 17" are being refurbed, or as a cheaper option to the refurb. Should I experience any differences in performance or handling. Had heard that fuel economy will improve and that I won't feel the potholes so much!
