E36 sticking door lock

I have no remote central locking, so am dependant on the good old 'insert the key and twist' system to lock/unlock my 99 E36. Trouble is, my drivers side door seems to not want me to do this. Was intermittent, but now seems permanent.

It does lock ok, if operated from the passenger door, but I just cannot turn the key (at all) in the drivers door.

Any ideas/solutions?

mine also does this, my lock in my boot doesn't turn at all any more and i need it replacing which is 50 quid if i want it to fit the same key!

i may do all my locks but crist knows what the cost of that is.

E36's really was poor on the build quality. my 20 year old MR2 i had was better mechanically than my 11 year old E36 hehe

not much help but it looks like a replacement lock.
