Changing seats in a 535d to 'Comfort Seats' option

Hi,
I really want a 535d sport touring (so I can chip it). But this is meant to be a family car. I've found a 6 month old one and put a deposit down, but on sitting in it, my wife hates the sports seats. We've tried another non-sports 550i with comfort seats option and she likes them. So, I've tried getting the dealer to quote for the parts and work to swap the seats over to 'Comfort seats' as per the BMW options list. They seem unwilling to do it. Anyone know a BMW mods specialist or someone with access to BMW parts who could do this? Or even a dealer who's more up for it. I don't want to lose my deposit, and since the one I've offered on is a former BMW managers car I think the deal I've got is pretty good, so I don't mind spending 2-3k to change the seats.

Any ideas?

Not really the answer you want, but I have comfort seats in my 535D and they are the best seats to have. Really comfortable and fully electric.

The cost and labour for new seats would be astronomical and even 2nd hand ones would hardly be cheap as wiring changes will be needed. Set your sights on a different car or convince the wife. The sport seats are actually very comfortable; they just feel hard initially.

The differences between sport and standard are the wheels, the body kit, the seats, the steering wheel, the suspension and the headliner colour. I venture a guess that it would be cheaper to change all those bits from standard to sport than to change the seats!

You could always buy my 535d currently advertised in Pistonheads which has the superb comfort seat option and has been DMS'd!!!

Save you the trouble of looking around....
