Z4 3.0 pre-2006 - what is the standard spec?

Hi guys,

Where can I find the basic specs for a 2004 Z4 3.0. I could only find the newer model on the BMW site.

I want know which features are standard and which are extras on a car I'm looking at.

Looking through a 2003 Z4 brochure the extra kit on the 3.0 seems to be:
6 speed gearbox
Armrest on the trnmission tunnel (not that exciting just a leather pad)
Brushed aluminium trim
Heated, electrically adjustable leather seats;
Matt chrome headlight surround and off black radiator slats;
Automatic lights and wipers;
Electrically powered roof;
Headlamp washers
The standard wheels were 17" style 103.
And a big smile for the driver

Mine seems to be standard then apart from the 18" ellipsoidal wheels

not all the 3.0s have elec heated seats, the one I looked at before buying mine had manual seats, both cars were 2003s

cheers for this list! Am tempted by a pre-2006 version myself. Anyone know where the brochure might be available online for me to browse through???

And from above - does that mean you only got a powered hood on the 3 litre? Am very surprised by that!

Are heated seats standard though? And do they melt your bum?

Oops, it looks like they all come with electric roof.


Heated seats haven't melted any bums yet but are so nice on those frosty sunny mornings, even stops the wife complaining about the roof being down

Sorry, I don't know where you might get an old brochure from, I tend to keep a lot of the brochures of cars I look at (or dream about).

The 3.0 also came with M sports suspension as standard, an anti dazzle interior mirror and Oregon leather. My reading of the brochure is all 3.0s came with electric seats, though heating was an option. 17s were standard, though 18s more common.

When you're looking around, it's worth remembering that some colours command a lower price, such as Merlot Red. Nice though it is. And the star spoke 108 18s have issues with corrosion.
