330i SE vs 323i SE

Afternoon Gents,

in the market for a BMW for commuting and general "fun" driving, and have come across these two cars that I have taken a shine to -

I would like to get some opinions on both, considering the price. My limit is around 6.5 - 7 thousand including insurance, which is around 1500 for the 323 and 1700 for the 330.

You'll probably get this sort of reply when you enquire into this car.....

Yeah, thought it looked too beautiful to be true! Unless it's an accidental price, which lets face it, is doubtfull. Bugger.

Anyway, on with the others!

I assume that the 330i SE is the faster car, and has more luxuries and general coolness to it?

There's also a 330ci around exactly how I would like it for 5,695 but it has nearly 150,000 miles?

The only decent car there looks like that 323i - that 330i is far too cheap for a 124k mile example. If the 330i is legitimate it's an absolutely excellent deal if its in good condition.

Provided it's been used for long trips and looked after there is no reason why that 145k miler is in any worse condition than a 100k mile example which has done more average use. It's a 1 owner car which is good but its from a trader which is not so good as you dont get to meet the previous owner and judge for yourself.

I was happy to buy my 140k mile 530i becuase it had covered this mileage in just 4 years and I bought it from the original owner.

Presumably a rep's motorway hack or someone that like touring europe?

So what do you guys think out of the choices that I have mentioned? I think i prefer the colour black, but which black car!

The compact will feel too slow imo. Get a 330i.

His office was a staggering 140 miles away from his house!

I couldnt do it but I'll tell you what I'm glad he did!
