e39 530i-198.000?

Afternoon all.

Been offered a really nice 530ise,mettalic blue,cream leather.

x plate 2001,fbmwsh,very nice car.

It`s done 198.000k on it though,can have it for 3k.

Just how bad would it be and how offputting would it be to you?

Take a chance or walk away?

For £3k? I would, provided it was immaculate.

Not 'good for its mileage' but immaculate. My 2001 530i Sport is immaculate despite having over 150k on it now, if this even higher mileage example was in similar condition I'd have it for £3k no worries at all.

Just broken a rusty and ropey looking E36 320i that had done 210000 miles, clutch was starting to go but otherwise was mechanically fine - and that one had been neglected. Think you'll be fine with the 530i that's more likely to have been driven by a mature chap.

Not only the engine thats done 190k remember its all ancillaries -brakes,clutch and the suspension. If you're happy this isn't gonna cost you too much in the ensuing few thousand miles, sounds good!
