325i Throttle Bodies and Fuel Injection

Morning all,

I own an E30 Based M20 325i and one of the injectors has a broken plastic cap on the end. I could easily replace it, but this seems like a good opportunity to be a little imaginative. I have been reading that the M50 Injectors are a common upgrade as they use 4 pin holes to atomise the spray pattern, instead of the single pin hole of the original, making the whole process alot more efficient? Anyone know a company that I can speak to about the whole thing?

In addition I have replaced my throttle body for a refurbished version, and have been been reading that a Bigger throttle body kit will improve performance, like Individual Throttle Bodies and such like.

Cant find any information on the net about this or anywhere that deals with BMW`s and specialises in Fuel Injection.

Anyone have any information will be appreciated.

A larger throttle body will help the top end breathing if you have done the usual other modifications already like a cam, intake, exhaust etc. But simply bolting on a larger throttle body by itself is unlikely to make a lot of difference to an otherwise standard engine.

I have a set of injectors of my old E36 320i (engine code M50B20) you're welcome to them for £20
Will try and get some pictures for you to compare them.

The engine ran fine, the car was only broken up due to rust and a broken windscreen making it an MOT failure.

Hi,

I have been warned that it is very important to ensure the impedance is the same as the standard versions or I will have to change the fuel regulator? I need to verify this information and if the part numbers mean I can do a straight swap, its an offer I will certainly consider. Just have to find that elusive injection guru who can give me fact from theory.

Been round the lock-up to check and I don't have the injectors actually sorry. Must have left them on the car when it went for scrap.
