My cheapest quotes were from BMW and Halifax.

I wish my premium was anywhere near as low as yours frown

I work for an insurance brokers and u can not complain at £270 for your insurance on a 3litre Z4, think of the car you insuring!! 3litres, RWD, prob the best part of £18,000 or something like that.

Adrian Flux are very competitive and their staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and keep promises (cover notes sent via email immediately) - I'm more than happy with the prices they give. UK/Euro breakdown cover seems a good value extra. I did not hesitate to go direct (without obtaining other quotes) when I recently bought a second car

Admiral are good and elephant are part of the same company but their proices are different?!!
A Plan insurance are recommended by BMW as a good source if not try Tesco or go to www.z4forum.co.uk and ask their at other owners

I am not sure who at BMW recommends A Plan because BMW have their own insurance product which they offer.

As per the above - BMW do not recommend A Plan. They do have their own arrangement and it is very good.

Its certainly worth trying BMW Insurance for a quote, They will have more comprehensive policy benefits than a brokered offer and you know any claim would be handled efficiently.

Yes, I thought that was very funny to.

Update, I got my quote down to £266, but then I told LV I just had non-runflat tyres fitted, and they wanted another £20.00.

So, all in all I paid £286. which was not bad.

That's interesting. What on earth is the rationale for a premium increase for changing from RFTs to non?

They said it was a change from the original specification, and that I was correct in informing them because I wouldn't have been insured if they found out later during a claim!

So, I have to say be warned.

Not arguing with that, I have several times strongly recommended that anyone removing the RFTs informs their insurer but I just can't see why it would warrant a premium hike.

If it is a serious handling/safety risk, don't let us do it, suspend cover. If it isn't then what difference does it make?

Agreed, essential to tell them everything or they'll use it as a get-out. I did, but didn't have a premium increase re the RFT's on my 120.
