The renewal has come in for my e34 525i at £537.

That's for me at 25 with 6 years protected NCD with a £200 excess (The car's worth about £500 if that).

Seems quite expensive to me so can any recommend any insurers to try?

Dropped the annual mileage down to 5000 as the car is hardly used any more and tried a quote with Elephant which came in at £379.55 with a £250 excess.

Quite pleased with that!

Speak to elephant over the phone, my quote went up nearly £200 when i spoke to them, also, is it over 12months as they do alot of 10month policy's. If you have, that seems a gd quote. Ur not going comp cover are you on a £500 car??!!

They rang we yesterday, if I want to pay it monthly it goes up to £511 but they confirmed £379 on the phone. That's for a 12 month policy with protected no claims.

It only goes down £25 if I go to tpft (and I have a habit of going through windscreens so it's worth it for me)
