It's thrown a wobbly and I cannot get near it now - phpNuke has struck I think, anyone else having problems?
If not - any got contact details (PM me) of the sites admin?
I'm waiting on the answer to a hub puller question but can't see nowt but black screens full of script-hack crap now.

I'm changing the rear back-plates and have undone the 6 inner driveshaft bolts and the main 30mm hub-nut. The caliper, rotor and shoes are also off now.
I now need to press out the driveshaft as the splined fit into the hub appears to be quite 'snug' (i.e. it won't budge).
Due to the tapered wheel bolts and the high centre wheel location ring on the hub I am puzzled as to the correct puller to buy, so I can press the driveshaft out.
So please can anyone recommend which puller to buy?
After I get the driveshaft out I guess pulling the hub out of the bearing is the next task, and then releasing the circlip an pressing out the bearing - any tips about this would also be welcome!!

Much easier cutting a slit in the backplate, fitting it then putting a few spots of weld on the plate TBH
Saves a whole load of hassle and cost replacing bearings as well(which invariably needs to be done at the same time).

that's strange. I've just removed the driveshafts from rear hubs on a pair of rear arms, once I got the 30mm hub nut undone (mate with a windy gun) i was able to just pull the driveshafts from the bearing with no force at all.
I'm probably just going to take the rear arms to a garage to press out the old bearings & press new ones in as I've had enough messing about with bushes & bearings on this car now

It did cross my mind but having t
tted the axle a few times I want to change the bearings anyway now.. and also not having a welder doesn't help

I was hoping mine would be free too, I guess 22years and it's happy to be there now!! I've got the bearing race joys to come, at least if I have to take the arm off I can put in new bushes when it goes back in..

If your going to change the hub, you might as well protect the end and just whack it out straight. Use loads of WD40 and you should be fine.

The drive shafts can stick in the hub, i had my trailing arm of and was smacking it with a sledge hammer and it wouldn't budge, if you do get it out grease it up so it doesn't stick for next time.

Mine was quite easy to remove, it needed a bit of effort with a hammer and punch (theres a dimple in the middle that i used so i wouldn't damage the threads) but not excessive, the big old lump hammer was needed to remove the old bearing though
A hub puller could be used, like this but maby with a longer bolt Ebay link
You can hammer the new bearing in but you have to be Very careful not to hit anything but the outer body of the bearing, i used the body of the old bearing as a drift and its not failed again yet, touch wood.

I was replying to a post (about compression actually) and pressed 'send', and quite literally the post was rejected and I have been blanked ever since.. no warning, just blocked out in an instant and no way of getting any explanation or communication.
