Z4 spare wheel?

This is probably a daft question but does the Z4 have a spare wheel?

If you put regular tyres on you will still have the TPMS which will warn you if you have a slow puncture and give you chance to keep inflated until repaired.

Not true. the Holts tyre weld is great stuff to get you home, i have used it on two occasions, most recently in April on my non run flat Z4, i actually did about 300 miles on the said tyre before replacement, have also heard of stories with Holts tyre weld lasting the remaining life of the tyre. I would agree with your comments of old tyre weld but the game has moved on somewhat.

I would agree with your comments of old tyre weld but the game has moved on somewhat.

Well, as the Chair of the Committee responsible for the British Standard on tyre repair, I could not agree with you. There is a good reason why the BS (159f) refuses to acknowledge this type of product amd that decision was made after comprehensive testing.

You took a huge risk in running 300 miles with a sealant in your tyre, for all sorts of reasons which are clearly explained in BS159 and other respected, considered publications.

Fair enough i would never knock someones opinion but red tape safety margins health and safety etc etc etc in this country somewhat mask reality i suggest you forward you councils findings and recommendations to BMW's M division as they see fit to supply the stuff with M cars which carry no spare wheel, but of course that just my opinion

Absolutly and in the real world that is what it's good for, however DSM2 says that british standards totally dismiss it even after comprehensive testing which i say is an absolute load of cod, it's quite suitable as a temporary repair otherwise BMW would not have it on M cars hence it makes a mock of what 'BS' whatever says
