E39-TC light on?

Hi, alittle help please.

Yesterday when i started the car the TC light was on the dash (Orange triangle with ! and arrow going around it).
I think it's the ASC button that switches this on/off?

Well, now it's on and won't turn off? Odd, it's never played up before, and tbh i never really use it.
It has been particularly wet lately...lot's of big puddles. Don't know if it could have contributed?

Car is down to 2 green lights so is due a service soon.

Car drives fine too. It's a '97 523i

Easily sorted if a touch chewy at a specialist, hundred or so quid if I remember rightly.

If you ever find yourself passing M4 J17 then I will gladly plug it into the diagnostics for you and see what it thinks is wrong.
