Waiting Times

As there are some BMW salesmen who post on here or maybe some others in the know if some body was wanting to buy a new car how soon could they get one i.e. are there cars in stock.

I think its massively dependant on model. i.e X6, there's a wait, M3, you could probably get a cancelled order. What are you looking for?

I'm not a salesman by the way, just had a similar conversation with a salesman last week.

Probably a 335d e92, just wondered if there maybe some in stock.

Bit of a wait for those as there are very few in stock, also there was an issue with supply earlier in the year which is still effecting production availability a tad.

BTW before committing check the 2009 MY 330d engine out and compare it with the 335d for a) performance 0.1 slower and b) mpg approx 7MPG, think you might find that for the extra money, 1500 pounds (US LAPTOP!!) even with auto added to the 330d, you'll find it better value now the engine has had a heavy revision.

Be careful though as the new iDrive with hi-res display and online functions, plus 80gig hard drive for music etc. is on Sept. builds.

If buying now I would try and get a 3 month old one with some serious savings, £42k specced cars going for under £35k, year old ones for just over £30k.

You will do your biscuit on a new one right now, even with a decent 10% + discount.

Yes i know the changes are due to get made for 2009 models.

Most the cars in the dealers at 6 months old start at 36.5K upwards or are you talking private.

Depends what you pay for it how much it will cost you.

5 Saloon M Sports - no MY08 Build Slots
4 Touring M Sports - no MY08 Build Slots
Loads of coupes - loads of 08 Build Slots (although will need ordering soon)

What do you mean by loads of build slots, would want one from stock in next couple of weeks is that possible.

What do you mean by loads of build slots, would want one from stock in next couple of weeks is that possible.

Coupe yeah, saloon and touring ni impossible unless you happen to end up at the dealers that have those 4-5 cars.

Thanks, would be the coupe not the others take it they have stopped production on them due to facelift.
