Looks a nice car, but personally i would be put off by reading the "£4k off" message.
Sadly, it is a buyer's market. Decide on your rock bottom price, list it at just above that, and wait for the calls.

I agree - the 4k off and will pay 2k etc looks more like desparation.... if i were a buyer i would make an even lower offer.

With your 2k offer you open the door for me to offer 13995 and expect you to say yes.

One other thing (imho) the colour of the interior would put me off, it looks kinda marmite!

That's a bargain!
Sadly, it's a big engined Petrol and people just don't want them at the moment. Also, 2 owners in 2 years might put a couple of people off (& above average mileage).

That looks cheap to me on the basis that I was looking for similar for my wife back in March/April.
Could I find anything close to £20k ? Not a chance.
I was happy to pay £23k for a well specced one and dealers were not interested.

I only wanted black/black though.

The only that would put me off is the auto box. I suspect that feckin' Gordon Brown and his cronies are mostly responsible for it not selling, as everything else is spot on. Loving the Lemon dakota.

Matt

ETA - No nav may be hurting it slightly, but that's all.

Do you truthfully get 35MPG from a 330 auto?

These are not my specialist subject, but I would say it looks like good value. Sit tight.

I tried to sell my M3 recently and it took a while to get interest. I wasnt (and am not) desperate to seel, but there was a lot of nibbles. Just make sure its price similarly to others (i.e. not loads cheaper!).

Best of luck

I have just sold my Monaro this week and it took about 8-9 weeks get it at the right price, which I think yours is now, advertise everywhere Trader, classified on Ebay and here loads of really good pics and write a really good advert, I re wrote my advert last week on Ebay and sold the car within two days and have suddenly had loads of calls and interest.

It will sell but large petrol engine cars are taking a while, get some pictures on a Sunny day in the evening it always makes a car look great.

I've just bought a 535d Touring so back in the BMW fold after selling my M5 a few years back, hello expensive servicing

PS get the VXR8 they are mega value, remember you can knock the price down loads, don't be shy and your cost to change won't be too bad

Good Luck

Interior colour will put off most buyers and an auto puts it in a high tax bracket from next year. The E90 shape is not a popular car and is more a company car purchase, not a private individual like you will need to sell to.

3-Series also now outsell Mondeos so they are no longer a prestigious car any more and there are just loads of them out there. Thats also big mileage for a 2 year old car. Definately insinuates a company hack.

I wish people would stop repeating this as it simply isn't true. Unless you can show me the Mondeo Coupe and the Mondeo Cabrio then it's totally misleading to say the 3 Series outsells the Mondeo.

The 3 Series Saloon and Touring sell in lower volume than Mondeo Hatch and Estate.

Obviously the Coupe and the Cabrio will boost 3 Series numbers over the Mondeo becuase there is no Mondeo equivilant.

It's a nice car but the combination of it having a large engine (meaning jo public are going to be put off in the current climate) and automatic (meaning your typical enthusiast is likely to be put off) means your potential market is small so it's going to be a bit of a waiting game I'm afraid.

Not sure your advert is helping the situation as it implies that you find the car boring to drive. The mileage is also a little high for the age which in a buyers market means your going to have to work hard for a sale.

Personally I think the interior is a selling point (well I really like it) but I think your going to have to wait for the right buyer or trade it in and take a hit.

(All my opionon though)

Lack of SatNav is probably the biggest hinderance to it - it's not like you can easily retrofit as you could in the E46 either!

It's a great car, very quick for this price of car. I personally love the auto and you won't find more of a motor nut than me! (See profile)

It gets a lot of looks, many a time I have been asked if it's the new m3 saloon in prototype!

As above, the interior colour is the problem, particulary clashing with the blue paint.

Auto with M Sport, whist popular with the mainstream, will put most enthusiasts off.

Looks a very nice car smile

Although the current photos aren't bad, I'd recommend getting a mate who's quite handy with a camera to do some shots for you. As you say, it's a striking car, and I don't think your photos fully capture that.

The best of luck! smile

agree with that looks very nice, get some pics of it in the Sun, loose the close ups of the carbon (i like it but gives the impression your a modder and mods = racing and racing - trashed in some peoples eyes)

I would loose the comment on getting a fun car and say you "liked it so much i'm looking at getting an M3"

looks like its go privacy glass too? oh and i guess its motorway miles, worth adding IMO
