hi all my 530d fells like it is missing when ticking over it also cut out when driving it the other day ,any thoughts thanks

hi only had the car a week it does it when the car has warmed up,starts up first time and has plenty of go does about 28mpg round town ,the engine was cleaned and sprayed with what looks like silicon when i brought it!

would it harm the engine to run it like this for a few weeks?.
