Car to drive to Romania

Is buying a cheapish big BMW a good idea for reliability, not too worried about fuel comsumption, any help apprieciated

I had the same thought. Surely a £1k Gamble on a 1994 E38 would be fun - buy it, do a service, then drive it as far into Europe as you can before it dies.

Cheaper and better than a holiday to the States? If you are lucky it might even make it back.

I would have though that a big Beemer with a complete history that's indicative of good care would be great for the job and serve you well for a very long time.

The thing is...a properly serviced '94 E38 is actually very unlikely to die whilst still in Europe!...Not first time round anyway!
