Is the 135 being sold yet? can't find any for sale used

which is very strange as thought went on sale a while ago. Looked on classifieds & autotrader. (Not buying, just curious how holding up)

What bemuses me is the huge variation of prices for any specific model - I've a 535d and there seems to be about a 6K spread in price for any given year - and its not always that the higher priced ones have the highest spec.

You might struggle with the 135i though, quite rare thus prices might be firm. I could forsee 335is being cheaper. Someone on here got an 07 335i for 20K...

Have gone a bit mad over the last 16 months, won't be doing it again so trying to settle into something that may last a bit longer!!

As for spec, The 535d and RS4 had all the toys I could possibly want but having had them, I'm beginning to suss what I really want..ie Bluetooth is a must, Sat Nav - A Tom Tom does as good a job for the number of times I need it (4/5 times a year), many of the other toys just didn't tickle my fancy once I'd had them...

Lots of people want a used 135i thinking it will be cheaper, but there is so much pent up demand I wouldn't be suprised if they hold their value quite well in the next few years. You wont make a profit but you wont lose as much as a 335i.

Errr, there's about a dozen 135i's for sale on autotrader... between £25k and £37k

doh-- just re-ran and used the engine option. I normally only use the keyword option which picks up 335 etc. Cheers

Unless you really need rear seats....a 06/56 Cayman S @ £28-30k is much better value.

If i were reasonably happy with the colour combo it wouldnt annoy me much if the price was right.

Out of curiosity, what was the 535d missing, that you could tell from the passenger seat, that made it poverty spec? They come with 4 electric windows, the upgrade to climate control, idrive, etc, and you say this one had leather too?

Don't know the 5's specs or options but didnt have extended leather. It was more it didn't have anything about it, sat in various 3 series before and just liked the environment, this was bland and non luxurious in any sense despite leather and if id paid so much money for it id have been miffed.

Theres no option for extended leather in the 5, only to upgrade the quality of it and as thats a £1455 option, so very few people bother. The 5 is a little 'spartan' looking inside but you either like that or you dont. All the features that you might want tend to be there, but not as 'in your face' as a buttons all over the place Audi A6.

There are 10-12 135i's for sale on the bmw web site - there are never going to be loads as its a relatively specialised car (with such a big engine in a small car). The current ones are the initial dealer demo's so once sold it will be fairly scarce in the official network.

I had a 335i previously and the 2 just don't compare the 135i is much more fun to drive and feels quicker and sharper with the clever diff (which the 3 doesn't get).

Do a google search for Clarksons review of the 135i, he rates it as the best BM currently made.

Not forgetting that the 135i also has unique and vastly superior 6 piston brakes to the 335i too (BMW branded Brembo's).

The 135i is a great car and I am loving mine.

Also, most dealers are only getting a 2-3 1 series coupe allowance per month of any engine type, so there aren't too many about.

There's a 40kg difference between the E92 and E87 35i's. Fit the BMW performance brakes to the 335i!
