Realistic power output M30?

I've been discussing with Mrs JagD and the Battlecruiser is now staying with me, but coming off of the road, in the not too distant future, for a complete overhaul.

The one thing I want to do, is spend a bit of time and money on the engine as the standard 3.0L isn't powerful enough to pull the old girl economically

What I want to know is this:

What is a realtisic and easily achievable power output for the M30 engine?

What tuning options are available for the M30?

Also, whats an easily achievable BHP/Torque figure for the M50 2.5 engine???????????????????

That's pretty much what I had gathered with regards to the M50, stroking is bloody expensive and other than cams, induction and exhaust, it's pretty much worth doing an engine swap for something either with a little more power or more tunable

I might just concentrate on other areas and do the MR when it comes to the engine

This a fantastic spin on ecomentalism!! Can we convince the yoghurt weavers that we actually need more powerful cars so we can be more economic?!!

Maybe dropping a 3.5 in there instead would be the simplest option.

It's true though

The 3liter only averages 18mpg due to it being automatic and heavy while most 3.5s manage to average 21

The less stress on the engine the better so it works out that the more torque I have, within reason, it should give an increase in mpg too

Or that's my story and I'm sticking with it hehe
