Water in the rear passeger footwell?

I have a 2002 530 Sport Saloon that we have had from new. Yesterday I noticed that the rear passenger foot well was soaked in water. The car has never had any body work done that could cause a gap, the windows were not left open, does anyone have any suggestions what would have caused this?

Thanks Glassman. Talk about looking before you post.... I must be blind. Its exactly the same problem so I'll try all the suggestions. It's only the floors that are wet everything else bone dry so its not coming from the upper rubber seals.

How bizarre that there's three of us with this problem in the same week, all with 02 E39's. Is it just that the weather has been *that* st?

I had this problem on my x5 ,i sprayed all the door rubbers in (armorall )you can get it from halfords or any car spares shop ,it brings the rubber back to life .I've had no probs since ...
