Z4 Bluetooth compatibility

Hi,

my Z4 is an 04, 03 build probably, with Bluetooth. I was looking at updating my phone but the two possible replacements I've narrowed it down to aren't on the BMW compatible list - which doesn't seem very up to date.

My current phone downloads the address book into the sat nav screen and I'd like to retain this function.

I'm considering a Nokia N78 or Nokia 6210 and so I wondered if anyone else already had one and whether it was fully compatible.

I dont know is the answer but according to BMW my phone Sony Erricsson 600U only has limited compatibility, but it in practice it works perfectly. Only issue is there isnt a cradle fit for it but that isnt a real problem.

Go on BMW.CO.UK
and go into owner area (top of hte page) selct the bluetooth compatabilty and select your car and it will give you a list of phones etc

You'll probably need a new module for a half decent phone. Friend had to upgrade his 02 M5's Bluetooth module for his iPhone to work.

New (but not always new-er) - different modules have different compatibility, and they dont always improve
