New 520d - stereo upgrade worth it?

Anyone out there sampled the difference between the standard fit stereo sound, £390 speaker upgrade and the £880 logic 7? When I did this exercise on a previous generation 3-series I found all systems somewhat of a letdown and the money was best spent elsewhere..
Having just driven the new E61 I was reasonably impressed with what I think was a standard fit? Any advice appreciated..

Standard is terrible, hi-fi is not much better and the Logic7 is stunning for a factory set up, you would need to spend £1000+ to get better, and it would not be muc better.
The basic system is easily upgraded with a Blaupunkt plug and play amp, earthquake sws-8 subs (fit in stock locations under the seat) and adding the L7 tweeters. Will cost around £600.
The hi-fi system is not great and is really tricky to upgrade as the head unit uses a balanced speaker level output and you have to remove the factory amp and wire a new one in, I wouldn't want to be doing that.
I would just order the L7 system.
