Forget Alpina Alloys, Get The Car!

I've been desperate for a set of Alpina alloys for the CSi for some time now.
They appear to possess the rarity value of rocking horse poo along with the ability of a Labour government to manage a stable economy.

I could buy a new set, but this would be near £3k with tyres !

So, how about this for a mad (or perhaps not so mad) idea......
Buy a whole car instead.
I've always loved E34s, I know its no Bi Turbo, but how about:

Swap the wheels over and enjoy the beauty of a an E34 B10 (as well as the CSi) rather than just buying a set of new alloys?

Is yours the CSI that had the Hartge wheels on it a couple of years ago?

8 series is very sensitive to wheel offsets/sizes, choose well.

The add is a pretend B10, the real one had a couple of turbo's

Nope, not guilty your honour, only had mine a year, no Hartge wheels here.

Yup, I've always had a soft spot for the B10 Bi Turbo - very similar power and torque to the CSi.

Not sure why you say you need 18"?

And also they should fit. Offset etc should be the same as both E31 and E34 M5 had 17" M-Tech II(Throwing Stars) as a common wheel shared by both?

I'm after 18" because I've always felt the E31 looks ever so slightly 'under-wheeled' on the standard 17", especially at the front......

A friend of mine (E31Shrew on here) has 18" Alpinas on his and I must admit they do look nice on the car.
