Looking at getting a BMW 2002. Ive found a 1974 car that is not Tii. It has 71k original miles and full history.
The car had its last MOT in 2004 and has not moved since. Its brakes are seized on.
Here are some pics:

Anything in particular to look for on one of these, and what sort of money are these worth?

Looks nice from the photos - what body repair has it had done? Rust is a serious problem on the 2002s; they were built before BMW worried about cavities to trap dirt and moisture and long before galvanised steel was used. The car had its last MOT in 2004 and has not moved since. Its got a tiny amount of rust on the front wings. IMO this is repairable. It also has some rust on the edge of the drivers side front wing near to the edge closet to the drivers door - again repairable.

Underside looks sound with only a small patch at the ends of one of the sills.
Do these run on un-leaded and can someone tell me what the red and green round buttons are on the dash?

You need to look real hard for previous repairs and/or bodges. It would be a rare car that hasn't already been repaired one or more times. Years and years ago my brother's 1602 had one of the rear shock towers collapse; it rusted from outside in with virtually no signs until it went boing.
I was selling them new, at L&C when they were in Tonbridge.
The green switch is the fog light, and the red one is the hazard switch.
It looks as if it might be Argarve Green, and I'd guess it might have come from the distibutor in Gatwick (can't remember the name of the dealer)

That's a great picture! 'Dealer of the year'.
I was at Pinewood in Caterham in '84, I'd moved on from L&C by a few years.
Tim Hignett was a great guy to work for, I really enjoyed my time at L&C.
In those days it was all a bit of a tight operation. Tim would do any job required, and do it better than anyone else, with huge amounts of enthusiasm.
I remember when he bought an immaculate E3 2500 saloon in plain Bristol grey. The owner, a Mr Broom, had kept it in such good condition, that Tim couldn't let it pass. It was the first car of his personal BMW Collection. Now that grew into something, didn't it?

Bit o/t but my e30 came from L&C - It's still got the L&C plates, keyfob & stickers on it and part history from there. It's a '90 though so long after you by the sounds of it.I was at Pinewood in Caterham in '84, I'd moved on from L&C by a few years.
